Are Boxers Good With Children?

I remember my Dad telling me, "Brix, it says here in this book that boxers are good with children.  But I'm not sure if you are because we don't have any yet."

Well Mom and Dad finally had children, 2 at the same time to be exact.  I remember the day he brought them home.

"Brix, welcome your 2 new sisters."
"What?  Two new who?"
"Your twin sisters Brix.  You will take care of them and protect them."
"I will?"
"Don't act stupid with me.  You know your role."

I wasn't acting stupid with Dad.  One day I didn't have sisters and then the next I have sisters?  It was all too confusing but I adapted.  I sniffed them to make sense of it all.  They sure smelled like the blanket Dad brought home from the hospital earlier.  They were tiny 2 legged creatures that cried and cried and cried.  Surprisingly I haven't gone crazy yet.  I know Mom and Dad have.

Overtime I didn't see the big hype about them.  I would walk past them like they never existed.  I don't even lick their faces.  I just mind my own business.  If that's the definition of a boxer good with children, then I'm the best.  Right now the two kids are small and can't walk, and they also can't pull my ears.  Ask me again a couple months and maybe they're going to annoy the heck out of me.

The only thing I notice, is Mom and Dad give way too much attention to those two brats.  Each of them holding one baby and no one holding me.  I don't get jealous, it's not in my nature but I would like some me time too.  Maybe a walk wouldn't hurt eh Dad?  My parents have their hands full and I get the short end of the stick most of the times now.  But I'm still a loyal dog.

Here are some pics of me, being a good boxer dog and big brother to the kids.

Boxer dogs are great with kids! Especially twins!
